The FIAS-100 has a single peristaltic pump for carrier, reagent and sample solutions. A five-port valve permits flow switching and precise sampling with interchangeable sample loops. Carrier gas flow is controlled via a flowmeter display. A quartz cell with removable quartz windows is provided for FI-mercury or hydride determinations. The cell can be heated with either an air-acetylene flame or an optional temperature-regulated electrically heated cell assembly.
The FIAS systems are equipped with an RS232 interface. A supply of start-up materials and all manuals are included. A push-button device for manual program starts is supplied with the FIAS-100. Other options for the FIAS-100 include the alternate reagent kit.
