The Flat Tin Disk, 27.8 mm in diameter, is a sample holder for the 13 mm or 25 mm filters. These filters are commonly used in air pollution and oceanographic studies for quantitating air or ocean particulates. For analysis, a filter with analyte is placed on a flat tin disk, the disk is folded around the filter, and then roll it into a cylinder.
