Overview

  • A rapid organic reagent-free extraction method with high recovery rates
  • Requires less than 2 hours regardless of number of samples
  • High reproducibility

The MaxSignal® Carbendazim ELISA Kit is a competitive ELISA for the quantitative analysis of carbendazim. Carbendazim is a widely used broad-spectrum benzimidazole fungicide and a metabolite of benomyl. The fungicide is used to control plant diseases in cereals and fruit, including citrus, bananas, strawberries, pineapples, and pome. Studies have found that high doses of carbendazim cause infertility and destroy the testicles of laboratory animals.

Although physical-chemical methods such as high-pressure liquid chromatography are widely used for carbendazim detection, their application for routine screening of numerous samples is limited by cost and instrumentation. Enzyme immunoassays (ELISA) show considerable advantages over conventional methods. The MaxSignal® Carbendazim ELISA Kit enables international and government regulatory agencies, food manufacturers and processors, as well as quality assurance organizations, to detect carbendazim below the maximum residue limit in honey after a rapid sample preparation and to satisfy customer concerns about food safety.

This kit is manufactured to the international quality standard ISO 9001.
