The deuterium UV Lamp Complete, ELP lamp is an ultraviolet light source for the LAMBDA /12/14/14P/10/10Bio/20/20Bio/40/40Bio/40P/25/35/45/650/750/850/850+/900/950?1050/1050+ spectrometers.
Caution: Eye protection is required when viewing deuterium or tungsten lamps when lit.
The Upward-Looking 270 mm Integrating Spheres is a unique accessory enabling new accuracies to be achieved in the measurement of light-diffusing materials. It is compatible with the LAMBDA 950/1050/1050+ spectrometers.
The Cuvette Sample Holder accommodates 1 cm cuvettes for transmission or reflectance mode measurements using the 150 mm Integrating Spheres. With this part number, this holder can be ordered as a replacement or spare holder.
The Film Polarizer Element works with the Double Polarizer Drive (B0505530). This high performance film polarizer has a wavelength range of 400-700 nm. Other wavelength ranges are available upon request.
The Praying Mantis Accessory is a highly efficient diffuse reflection collection system designed to minimize the detection of a sample's specular component. Its pivoting ellipsoids provide easy access to the sampling area. It is compatible with the LAMBDA 650/750/850/850+/950/1050/1050+ spectrometers.
The 8-Cell Water-Thermostatted Cell Holder holds up to eight standard 10 mm cells. It can be used in either the sample or reference position. It requires, but does not include:
This Fiber Optic Probe Tip is used with Fiber Optic Dip Probe (N1016070). It has a 5 mm path length. This tip must be ordered separately.
The HP LAMBDA Linear Cell Changer transports sample and reference positions for the high performance LAMBDA spectrometers. Cell holders are required, but not included. Your choice of recommended cell holders (2 of each) is the 5-Position Long Path length cell holder (B0089439) or the 8-Position, Water-Thermostattable cell holder (B2205411).
The Standard Cell Holder accommodates rectangular cells up to 10 mm path length. This holder is compatible with the LAMBDA 20/30/40/20Bio/30Bio/40Bio/40P/25/35/45/ 650/750/850/850+/900/950/1050/1050+ spectrometers.
This Fiber Optic Probe Tip is used with Fiber Optic Dip Probe (N1016070). It has a 2 mm path length. This tip must be ordered separately.
The Clip Style Center-Mounted Sample Holder is best-suited for films and paper samples. The holder sits at the top of the 150 mm Integrating Spheres, allowing the sample to hang inside in the center of the sphere's sample compartment. The sphere is used with the LAMBDA 650/850/850+/90/1050/1050+ spectrometers.
The Double Polarizer Drive is installed inside the primary sample compartment of high-performance LAMBDAs, i.e., the 650/750/850/850/950/1050/1050+ spectrometers. Its orientation can be fully automated, allowing scans at a fixed wavelength or in a stepped mode. It has a scanning resolution of 25°. When in stepping mode, the polarization (depolarization) orientation can be changed up to 20 wavelength positions.

The 150 mm Integrating Sphere is the recommended accessory for measurement of total solar reflectance and transmittance in the glass industry and for the measurement of UV transmittance of paints and films in the automotive industry. Many national laboratories use it in R&D studies and for calibrati ...
The measurement of the band gap of materials is important in the semiconductor, nanomaterial and solar industries. This note demonstrates how the band gap of a material can be determined from its UV absorption spectrum.
We evaluated a 3M® visible mirror film for potential use in a new curved photovoltaic module using a LAMBDA 950 spectrophotometer with an ARTA accessory. In this application, the 3M® film must transmit near-infrared photons to the underlying silicon solar cells (where they will be converted directly ...
In materials research there is sometimes a need to scan high absorbance samples such as laser protection lenses, optical filters, and polarization materials. Such sample types often need to be measured across the whole UV, Vis and NIR ranges of the electromagnetic spectrum. Accurate high absorbance ...
Historical manuscripts are subject to deterioration due to aging processes under different storage and handling conditions. There can be physical, chemical and biological factors with different impact on papers and parchments or inks and dyes. Optical methods are preferred for the evaluation of hist ...
The FDA defines data integrity as "completeness, consistency, and accuracy of data. Complete, consistent, and accurate data should be attributable, legible, contemporaneously recorded, original or a true copy, and accurate (ALCOA)". ALCOA itself has evolved to ALCOA Plus, which incorporates two of t ...
Lactate generation and quantification is a topic of increasing interest in cancer metabolic research and also one of the most often measured parameters during clinical exercise testing and performance testing of athletes. Lactate also has different regulatory functions for wound development dependin ...
Download this poster for an all-in-one view of how PerkinElmer instrumentation can answer the analytical needs of the solar market. From R&D of nanomaterials and advanced materials to solar cell component testing including aging and defect analysis - our UV/Vis, DSC, TGA, FT-IR and ICP systems help ...
Advanced instrumentation is key to work in nano-materials. Functional tools such as optical and thermal measurement techniques allow the characterization of materials. As such, they complement imaging tools such as AFM and TEM-SEM which give spatial information on the structure of the materials. Thi ...
All medicinal products need to be protected and packaged in containers which conform to prescribed standards. The quality of pharmaceutical packaging can have a significant impact on the performance of pharmaceutical products and can reduce shelf-life if the improper packaging is used. The USP chapt ...
Optical filters have many functions, including color correction, used to improve color balance in many optical systems, to neutral density filters that produce specific reduction in the level of transmitted light. The characterization of these diverse optical filter types is critical from design thr ...
Nanomaterials are infinitesimal, but do not let their size fool you. Their surface area actually increases at the nanoparticle scale to infuse these miniature building blocks with unique magnetic, mechanical, structural, optical, and electrical properties that are different from the same chemical at ...
