MPS 320 Microwave Digestion System: MR-50/16

The MPS 320 is a reliable and easy-to-operate microwave digestion system for PerkinElmer’s AA, ICP-OES, and ICP-MS instruments that accommodates a wide range of sample matrices and applications. It provides the choice of closed-vessel digestion, a requirement for working with volatile elements, or unique, easy-to-use and high-throughput auto-venting vessels, which allow digestion to continue when preset pressure is reached. And you can also select from four different rotor configurations depending on your needs. All of this, plus state-of-the-art temperature/pressure control and a variety of unique safety features.

Overview

The MR-50/16 configuration consists of our MR-50 permanently sealed vessels in a 16-position rotor, perfect for cannabis testing and other third-party lab applications in which data integrity and reproducibility are critical, and where the ability to handle different applications per rotor is valuable.

Made entirely of TFM™ polymer, the MR-50 vessels provide chemical resistance to mineral acids, including hydrofluoric acid, ensuring a high level of mechanical strength, even at high digestion temperatures. These versatile vessels are designed to handle most application types and throughput needs. And because they’re permanently sealed, they guarantee no loss of volatile elements for the utmost in data integrity – a key consideration for the pharma industry, since the method specifically asks for closed-vessel digestion.

Other unique features of the MPS 320 microwave digestion system include:

  • Reliable temperature (DTC) and pressure (DPC) control on each vessel for accurate and repeatable results
  • Top-loading design and fume-collection system for safe operation
  • Intuitive software with remote control capability for all levels of digestion expertise
  • 21 CFR Part 11 software option for regulated laboratories
  • Reliable vessels with warranty protection for affordable sample preparation
